Lazy Website Design: A Friendly Booking Site for Hong Kong Homes

The Lazy website design gives Hong Kong homeowners a cheerful, simple way to book cleaners and other home services. Sky-blue illustrations, pink booking buttons and a traditional Chinese interface keep every step light and clear.

The brief

Lazy bridges the gap between Hong Kong's professional cleaners and busy homeowners who would rather not do chores. The business runs on bookings, so the website had to make booking feel effortless. It also had to speak to local customers in their own language.

Spacebar's work spanned customisation, web and mobile app development, UI and UX design, and consultation. This page focuses on the visual design of the customer-facing site. However, the Lazy Cleaning case study covers the booking engine and the apps behind it.

What we delivered

A friendly brand on every screen

The logo is a winking smiley with two sparkles, set in sky blue. That playful tone then carries through the whole site. Flat illustrations show cleaners, decorators and relaxed homeowners, while bright pink buttons mark every booking action. Consequently, a routine errand feels light-hearted rather than like a chore.

Clear paths to the right service

A row of icons near the top splits the offer into categories, such as popular services, home, office cleaning, health and care, and repairs. The homepage headline asks, in Cantonese, whether you'd rather not tidy up and need a hand. Below it, illustrated cards show each popular service with its starting hourly rate and a "book now" button. A blue banner then repeats the call to action.

Built for local customers

The interface is in traditional Chinese, with a one-tap switch to English. The footer adds a Hong Kong region selector, app store badges and accepted card logos, which reassure visitors before they pay. For the renovation service, a design-and-build gallery shows real finished interiors.
